The packages above are starting prices for a single dog on a typical property. Here are the main factors that can move the number up:

• Extra wire: 500 feet is included. Additional wire is $0.80 per foot. Most suburban lots need 300–600 feet total, so many homeowners stay within the included amount.
• Additional dogs: Each dog needs their own collar. An additional EcoLite collar is $495. An additional LINK collar is $645.
• Exclusion zones: Want to keep your dog out of the garden or away from the pool? Garden loops start at $75 each.
• Indoor units: Need to block off a room or keep your dog away from the front door? Indoor transmitters are $225.
• Distance surcharges: If your property is 1–2 hours from our base, there’s a $100 surcharge. Over 2 hours adds $200.

What About DIY Kits?

You can buy invisible fence kits online for $200 to $500. They include a basic transmitter, wire, and a collar. What they don’t include:

• Professional wire burial (you’ll need to trench your own yard)
• Custom layout design based on your property
• Professional training for your dog
• Ongoing support when something goes wrong
• A containment guarantee

The equipment in DIY kits is also lower quality: shorter battery life, fewer correction levels, and no safety features like the SafetyStop® 20-second correction limit that prevents collar cycling.
