How Dog Fencing Works
We Design Your Boundary
We map a custom boundary around your property, including exclusion zones for gardens, pools, or driveways. You decide where your dog can and cannot go.
We Install It
We bury the boundary wire about 4 inches deep around the perimeter. Most installations take 3 to 5 hours, and we clean up when we are done.
We Train Your Dog
On install day we start GentleSteps™ training and give you a simple daily plan. Most dogs learn the boundary in about a week, and phone support is included for life.
Wire Layouts for Any Yard
Every property is different. We design a custom boundary to fit your lot, your dog, and the areas you want off limits. Here are the layouts we install most often.

Rechargeable Collars, No Battery Costs
Competitors use batteries (about 4 per year at ~$25 each). Our rechargeable collars save you $1,000+ over 10 years, per dog.
Your Dog Learns Without Fear
Our GentleSteps™ method uses barely perceptible levels at first, just a tickle. Most dogs learn the boundary calmly, usually within about a week.
Your Dog Stays Safe, Guaranteed
If we can't keep your pet safely contained within 12 months, you get a refund (training requirements apply). We've only had 5 dogs we couldn't contain in 16 years.
Is an Underground Dog Fence Right for You?
Works well for: dogs of any size (no minimum weight) and any breed, puppies from 12 weeks to seniors, and yards of almost any shape or size, from small lots to 30+ acres. The receiver collar plus strap weigh about 2 oz total.
Worth knowing: it is a training-based boundary, not a physical barrier, so it keeps your dog in but will not keep other animals out, and it works best when you follow the short training plan in the first week.

How much does dog fencing cost?
Packages start at $1,945 + HST for Essential, $2,195 for Connected, and $2,545 for Complete. Most installations land between $1,800 and $3,500 depending on property size and number of dogs. 500 ft of boundary wire is included.
How long does installation take?
Most installations are done in 3 to 5 hours. We bury the boundary wire about 4 inches deep around your yard and clean up when we are finished.
Is it safe and humane?
Yes. GentleSteps training starts at levels that are barely perceptible, just a tickle. The collar has a SafetyStop that limits any correction to 20 seconds. We have safely contained nearly 2,000 pets with a 99.75% success rate.
What size and breed of dog does it work for?
There is no minimum weight. The receiver collar and strap weigh about 2 oz total, and we have never refused a breed. Puppies can usually start around 12 weeks.
How big can my yard be?
There is no minimum property size. We fence everything from small condo yards to properties up to approximately 30–35 acres, depending on shape and layout complexity. The system uses a satellite layout, so you choose exactly where the boundary runs.
Will my dog run through the boundary?
Almost never. With GentleSteps training, most dogs learn the boundary in about a week. In 16 years and over 1,000 installations, only 5 dogs could not be contained.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. If we cannot keep your dog safely contained within 12 months, you get your money back, as long as the training steps are followed. Equipment is also covered by a 20-year UltraCare warranty.
Are there monthly fees?
No. There are no subscriptions and no monthly fees. The collars recharge, so there are no ongoing battery costs. GPS systems like Halo and SpotOn charge $15 to $25 per month.
